distrokid case study

By giving users the ability to manage their artist bio on mulitple streaming services, we effectively decreased customer service tickets, and automated what used to be a tedious and time consuming task.

user experience - before

User writes in

Usually saying something like, “How can I add my artist bio on Deezer???”

Back and Forth

Content operations asks for specific image dimensions, social and streaming links, and informs user of what written content can or cannot be submitted.

Manual Review

Content Ops agent then double checks image dimensions, links, and artist biography.

Manual Submission

Content Ops agent finally logs into a metadata tool for said streaming service, copy and pastes provided information, and publishes the user’s new artist bio for each service requested.

user experience - after

User inputs data

User is provided all the necessary direction to know what info to submit for their artist bio.

Review queue

The user’s submission is then added to a review queue where Content Ops either approves or rejects the submission.

Automatic Submission

After the submission is approved, a script then ports the provided info to the streaming services requested.
